water water everywhere and not a drop to drink

let me start off by saying i went into this movie with no expectations other than my continuing love affair of ms. connelly. remember career opportunities? i spent weeks trying to get locked into my local target. no, such luck. therefore, my opinion is probably very skewed. with that said, dark water maybe the most depressing movie since hotel rwanda. but to me that's a good thing. i'd rather watch a dark and meaty character story over a piece of fluff any day of the week. and twice on sunday. well, unfortunately character development didn't happen too much in this movie. a little but not a lot which is better than i can say for the ring 2. speaking of which, i can now sum this review up in once mathematically concise thought. ring > dark water > the village > taking a nap > ring 2.
