hello faithful listeners. it has been many a morning without breakfast for this weary traveler, but i bring you the unfortunate news that it will be many more mornings before i can rest for breakfast once again. yes, the breakfast of champions, much like the song scrubs by TLC, is no longer a party favorite. times have changed and we've all gotten a little older, and with this new found maturity we must move on to higher ground. that is why breakfast of champions is becoming... adventures in wonderland! that's right, adventures in wonderland. each weekend i will find some new fangled adventure to partake in, and you, faithful listener, will have the opportunity to join me. apparently i have dubbed the minnepolis/st. paul area as wonderland, and am labeling my wanderings as adventures (some say i'm a little melodramatic with my use of the english language). if you are bored with the typical come join me and find the atypical as i search for excitement in the big city. each week i will find something new to do, and if it at all piques your interest i would love your company. this week, it's fallcon! that's right, minnesota's very own comic book convention. although it doesn't have the bragging rights of being the only minnesota convention, it can say it is the largest! for only 9 dollars (8 with a canned good), you have access to everything the minnesota comic book world has to offer and more. i will be there bright and early saturday morning, 10am sharp. if you wish to get your appetite sated with some comic book grub, please come join me. here is a website to get your motors running: http://www.mncba.com/Fallcon/Index.htm the breakfast of champions staff would like to thank all those who participated as well as all those who couldn't make it to our breakfasts, we hope to see you in our new campaign to find excitement here in the twin cities and wish to remind you that just because we don't host breakfast doesn't mean you shouldn't have breakfast anymore! |
